Mobile Hopper Stall At Official Residence Of Prime Minister Named After President Sirisena

November 09, 2018

A mobile hopper stall at Temple Trees, the official residence of the Prime Minister, has been named after President Maithripala Sirisena.

It was also seen in the public yesterday, during the vehicle parade conducted by the UNP demanding reinstatement of Ranil Wickremesinghe as the Prime Minister and the immediate convention of Parliament.

Although the architect of the move is not yet clear, it is aimed at ridiculing President Sirisena's conduct who defected to the UNP after partaking of a hopper meal of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The hopper stall serves thousands of UNP supporters who are gathered at Temple Trees to support the "ousted" Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
