Parliamentarian Palitha Thewaperuma was caught brandishing a butter knife during the scuffle that broke out in Parliament this morning. 

The Kalutara district parliamentarian could be seen holding the butter knife in several of the images that surfaced after the incident. 

In one image, fellow UNP MP Ranjan Ramanayake is seen trying to wrest the butter knife out of Thewaperuma's hands. 

While Thewaperuma is known for his swashbuckling ways, it is unclear how the knife ended in his hands during the scuffle that broke out in Parliament in the morning.
