Public And Foreign Diplomats Barred From Entering Parliamentary Gallery Today Due To Objections Raised By UPFA MPs

November 19, 2018

The Public and diplomats have been prevented from viewing Parliamentary proceedings today as the public and VIP galleries will be closed, Parliament sources told Asian Mirror.

The decision has been made after allegations that a group from the public gallery shouted and hooted at Parliamentarians during the turmoil in Parliament, last Friday.

Some Parliamentarians alleged that the political parties orchestrated the move as the gallery was open to the public on Friday.

Meanwhile, the VIP gallery has been closed due to objections raised by the UPFA over the presence of diplomats in the VIP gallery.

Parliamentary proceedings will take place at 1 PM today.
