The UNP will send a list of proposed Cabinet ministers to President Maithripala Sirisena today, informed party sources said. .

The proposed list will have the names of 30 Cabinet members, they added. 

The time of their swearing-in will depend on President Sirisena's feedback to the proposed list.

UNP seniors, however, expressed confidence that the new Cabinet would take oaths within the next 48 hours. 

There were reports yesterday that there was a tug of war between the President and the UNP with Sirisena demanding the control over the Police Department and two state media institutions.
