President's Coordinating Secretary Resigns From Position In Protest Of President's Conduct

President Maithripala Sirisena's Coordinating Secretary Rajitha Kodithuwakku has resigned from his position in protest of the President's conduct.

Koduthuwakku is also an organizer of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party for the Kesbewa electorate.

Kodithuwakku has expressed severe disappointment with the President's decision to join forces with former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Kodithuwakku, in his letter of resignation, has warned the President of a conspiracy hatched by some elements to tarnish his reputation as the leader who ushered in an era of democracy to Sri Lanka in January, 2015.

Meanwhile, it is also learnt that 25 electorate organizers of the SLFP have decided to resign from their portfolios.
