No Cabinet Minister Will Attend UNHRC 40th Session Representing Sri Lanka: Ambassador Azeez Will Leave Sri Lankan Delegation

No government minister will attend the 40th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) which is currently underway in Geneva. 

Sri Lanka's progress on the previously passed resolutions at the UNHRC will be taken up for discussion later during the session. 

Sri Lanka's representative to Geneva A.L.A. Azeez will lead Sri Lanka's delegation to the 40th session of the UNHRC Foreign Ministry sources said. 

It is learnt that the UNHRC will grant two more years to Sri Lanka to make progress on the previously passed resolutions.
