The Cabinet appointed Nadun Guruge as the new Inland Revenue Commissioner General. 

Guruge, a senior official at the Inland Revenue Department, previously served as the acting Commissioner General. 

He has also served as a Deputy Commissioner General of Inland Revenue. 

His appointment was recommended by Finance Minister Mangala Sanaraweera.
