PM Says More Powers Given To Police And Military To Apprehend Everyone Linked To Easter Sunday Explosions 

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said more powers had been given to the Police and security forces to apprehend everyone linked to the Easter Sunday explosions. 
 
"We have overcome similar challenges. We will take every possible step to overcome this challenge too," the Prime Minister said referring to the multiple explosions that rocked Sri Lanka on Sunday. 
 
Making a special statement in Parliament, the Prime Minister also said that the international community had extended its full support to Sri Lanka to eliminate the threat of extremist terrorism.
 
Wickremesinghe also added that the emergency regulations were enacted to allow the Police and law enforcement authorities to ensure public security with greater efficiency. 
 
Parliament met this afternoon to discuss the country's course of action following the Easter Sunday attacks which claimed over 300 lives last Sunday.
