Mohammed Niyas Madania, the younger sister of Jihadist terrorist leader Zaharan Hashim, has been arrested by Police in Kattankudy. 

Police have seized Rs. 2 million worth currency that were in her possession at the time of the arrest. 

The police suspect that the terrorist leader had given her the currency notes, a few days before the Easter Sunday explosions.

Speaking to the media a few days after the attack, Zaharan's sister said she was completely unaware of her brother's terrorist activities. 

Many members of Zaharan's family have died during suicide explosions within a safe house at Sainthamarathu, in Kalmunai. 

His wife and daughter, who were also injured during the explosions, have been admitted to the Kalmunai hospital.
