All Government Universities Will Reopen Next Week: Adequate Security Measures Provided To Ensure Safety Of Students

The University Grants Commission (UGC) said all universities would reopen for academic activities on May 13, given the current security situation in the country.

The government previously decided to close down universities until further notice in the wake of the Easter Sunday explosions. Extensive search operations were carried out in every government university to ensure the safety of students.

However, all Vice Chancellors have made a collective Decision to reopen universities next Week as the situation in the country has returned to normalcy.

The Higher Education Ministry said university authorities have been instructed to adopt adequate security measures when academic activities resume next week.
