JVP To Hand Over No-Confidence Motion Against Government Tomorrow Over Security Lapses Surrounding Easter Sunday Attacks

The Janatha Vimukhi Peramuna said it would submit a no-confidence agaist the government over the security lapses leading to the Easter Sunday explosions.

The no-confidence motion is expected to be handed over to Speaker Karu Jayasuriya tomorrow.

This comes a few days after the Joint Opposition presented a no-confidence motion against Minister Rishad Bathiudeen over his alleged connections with the Islamist militants in Sri Lanka.

However, it is not entirely clear whether the JVP will support the no-confidence motion against Bathiudeen.

The Joint Opposition too has not made its opinion clear on the no-confidence presented by the JVP against the government.
