All Muslim Ministers Who Resigned From Ministerial Posts To Support Government At No-Confidence Vote

All Muslim ministers who announced their resignation from ministerial posts earlier this week will support the government at the No-Confidence Motion moved by the JVP, informed political sources said.

Leader of the House Lakshman Kiriella said the No-Confidence Motion against the government would be taken up for debate on July 09 and 10.

The decision was arrived at following a party leaders meeting on Tuesday evening. The No-Confidence Motion is over the security lapses leading to the Easter Sunday attacks.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, the Muslim MPs who resigned from their posts said they would continue as back-benchers in the government and help it "survive."
