Business Leader Arjun Dharmadasa’s Two Sons Killed In Road Accident

Sadeva Dharmadasa and Avendra Dharmadasa - two sons of Managing Director of Lanka Exhibition and Conference Services (LECS) Arjun Dharmadasa – died in a fatal road accident near the Kosgama Miriswatta railway station.

The two brothers were on the way home after a birthday celebration in Ahaliyagoda and their jeep had collided head-on with a private bus around 3.30 am on August 23.

The driver of the bus has been taken into police custody in connection with the accident.

Police told media that the two brothers were rushed to the Awissawella Base Hospital. The police added that Sadeva Dharmadasa, the elder brother, had died on the spot and Avendra Dharmadasa succumbed to his injuries a after being admitted to the hospital.

The deceased Sadeva Udaya Ellawala Dharmadasa and Avendra Chaminda Ellawala Dharmadasa were residents of Bambalapitiya.

Sadeva Dharmadasa was a Director of a private company and the younger brother Avendra Dharmadasa was studying at a Malaysian University. They were known to be prominent Rugby players representing St. Thomas College, Mount Lavinia.
