An officer attached to the Army intelligence unit has been arrested by the CID over the abduction of journalist Keith Noyahr.

The suspect is a Seargent Major by the name of Sumith Kumara.

The suspect will be presented before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate today.

The Acting IGP has directed the CID to expedite investigations on six cases including the abduction of Noyahr.
