The UNP has initiated disciplinary action against MPs Wijedasa Rajapakshe and Athuraliye Rathana Thera for violating party discipline

Both Rajapakshe and Rathana Thera broke ranks with the party and made critical remarks of the UNP leadership and the UNP-led government.

Rathana Thera is a national list MP of the United National Front.

The development came two days after the party initiated disciplinary action against Ministers Ajith P Perera and Sujeewa Senasinghe for violating party discipline.
