An alleged audiotape containing a telephone conversation between former Director General of the Bribery Commission Dilrukshi Dias Wickremasinghe and Avant-Garde Chairman Nissanka Senashipathy is currently in circulation on social media.

The authenticity of the video has not been established yet.

However, according to the alleged audiotape, a person purported to be Dilrukshi Dias Wickremasinghe says she is deeply regretting the legal action she has initiated against Avant Garde company, during her tenure as the Bribery Chief.

She expresses serious concerns about the loss of employment caused by the legal action against the company, attributing it all to "dirty politics."

Towards the end of the video, she says she will never pursue legal action against former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa who is now the Presidential candidate of the SLPP.

"I can make the law and I can break the law," the person purported to be the former Bribery Director General says.

Nissanka Senadhipathy is currently overseas, avoiding Police arrest over multiple charges he faces over the company's business operations.
