A special convention of the United National Party will take place this morning at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.

The convention has been called to endorse the decisions made by the party Working Committee last week.

The decision to nominate Sajith Premadasa as the Presidential candidate of the party will be one of the decisions ratified at the party convention this morning.

It is the first public event organized by the UNP after the nomination of Sajith Premadasa as the Presidential candidate.
