PAFFREL Lodges Formal Complaint With Elections Commission Against Padeniya's Presence At Gota's Manifesto Launch

PAFFREL has lodged a complaint with the Elections Commission against GMOA President Anurudhdha Padeniya who was seen at the manifesto launch of the SLPP candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.

Lodging a formal complaint with the Commission, PAFFREL said Padeniya, as a doctor attached to the Ministry of Health, had no political rights other than casting his vote.

The complaint also makes it clear that Padeniya's presence at the event might influence other public officials to overstep their limits and engage in political activists.

The Centre for Monitoring Election Violence (CMEV) also raised concerns about Padeniya's presence at the SLPP manifesto launch.
