Controversy Around Ranjan's Phone Recordings Deepens: Speaker Says No Recordings Submitted To Parliament

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya confirmed that Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake has not submitted any telephone recordings to Parliament.

Ramanayake previously said he would submit his phone recordings to Parliament and support any investigation carried out by the government into the matter.

UNP MP Dr. Harsha de Silva said Ramanayake handed over five CDs containing 15000 recordings to the Secretary General of Parliament and the latter even issued the MP a receipt. A day after the development, Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri said the House did not receive any recordings.
