Colombo Mayor Rosy Senanayake is tipped to be reappointed to the UNP Working Committee, informed political sources said.

Senanayake was among those who were not appointed to the Working Committee for this year.

Ajith P. Perera, Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka and Imthiaz Bakeer Markar were among those who were axed from the Working Committee by UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe.

It was earlier speculated that Senanayake's close links to Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa cost her the WC membership.
