Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga said no member in the current Parliament could be compared to her late husband, Vijeya Kumaratunga.

"He was ready to sacrifice his life for the principles he believed in, " Kumaratunga added.

She made these remarks after taking part in a commemoration ceremony to mark the 32nd death anniversary of Kunaratunga, an actor turned politician who was killed on February 16, 1988.

The former President said the current legislature was filled with rogues and unscrupulous men.
