State Minister Tharaka Balasuriya said there was no decision to give a certain quota of nominations for the Viyathmaga organization.

"Anyone hoping to contest for the upcoming Parliamentary election must obtain membership with the Sri Lanka Podujana Party or one of our affiliated parties, " he said, addressing a press conference in Kegalle.

"As far as I know, only two members of the Viyathgama organization have expressed willingness to contest the Parliamentary election, " he added.

Balasuriya said it was wrong to say that the Viyathmaga members would contest the Parliamentary election as a separate group.
