Rifkan Bathiudeen, the brother of former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen, has been released on bail by the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court.

Rifkan Bathiudeen is a former provincial level politician and a businessman by profession.

He was arrested by the CID over a fraudulent land deal.

He was under investigation for selling a 78-acre land in a fraudulent manner for over Rs. 48 milllion
