Retired Major Ajith Prasanna, who was in remand, was granted by the Colombo High Court a short while ago.

Prasanna was arrested for contempt of court as he criticised suspended High Court Judge Gihan Kulatunga and the rulings he delivered.

The Criminal Investigations Department filed a complaint with the Colombo High Court citing Ajith Prasanna had committed contempt of court by publicly criticizing Gihan Kulatunga's conduct as a judge.
