Questions have been raised over the number of Corona cases in Sri Lanka following a tweet posted by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa's son Rohitha Rajapaksa.

Rajapaksa, in a recent tweet, indicated that there were two Corona patients in Sri Lanka. Although he does not hold an official position in the government machinery, he was heavily involved in the social media campaign of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.

However, health authorities have so far maintained that Sri Lanka had only confirmed Corona patient. She was ceremoniously discharged from the hospital after an event attended by Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi.

Following Rajapaksa's tweet, many have raised questions on social media about the numbers released by the Sri Lankan health authorities. Rajapaksa is yet to clarify the tweet.
