Colombo Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage refused to grant bail to retired Major Ajith Prasanna who was arrested on contempt of court charges.

Prasanna, a supporter of the Sri Lanka Podujana Party and a former LG Councilor, was arrested after he criticized the work of suspended HC judge Gihan Pilapitiya.

He was further remanded until March 24 by the Additional Magistrate.
