UGC Decides To Close Down All Government Universities For Two Weeks Amidst Fears Of COVID-19

The University Grants Commission has decided to close down all universities for two weeks to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The government has also decided to close all government schools until April 20. Tution teachers have been requested to refrain from holding classes as well.

Only two Sri Lankans have been diagnosed with COVID-19 thus far. However, a number of patients are under medical observation with suspected symptoms.
