Police File Case Against COVID-19 Patient Who Lied To Doctors About Travel History: Dambulla Mayor Arrested For Allowing Cycle Parade

The Police have filed a case against person who admitted himself to Ragama Hospital complaining of chest pains while hiding the fact he returned from Italy recently.

"He was tested positive for COVID19, putting a number of medical personnel at risk," the Police Spokesman said.

A number of medical professionals are currently under observation due to the conduct of this patient.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Dambulla and one other arrested for allowing cycle parade despite orders to over the last few days to stop all events allowing people to congregate, the Media Spokesman added.
