World Bank Approves USD 128.6 Million For Sri Lanka's COVID19 Emergency Response And Health System Preparedness

The World Bank has approved $128.6 million towards Sri Lanka's COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health Systems Preparedness Project to help Sri Lanka 'prevent, detect and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and strengthen its public health preparedness.

The World Bank said the money will be used to scale up emergency medical responses, strengthen the capacity of labs and hospitals, treat patients and train medical staff and to raise public awareness.
