Health authorities confirmed the seventh death due to COVID19 in Sri Lanka, a short while ago.

The deceased is a 44-year-old male who passed away while being treated at the IDH.

He has been identified as a gem businessman, who was a resident of Mt. Lavinia

The victim had returned from travelling to Germany after which he was tested positive for the virus.
