The Police have arrested a father from Valachchenai, Mawadichena area for killing his son (10) and daughter (7), by drowning them in a well, the Police said.

Although the villages took measures to rescue the victims from the well, they had died by even before they were admitted to the Valachchinai hospital.

The incident had taken place at 3.45 AM this morning.
