The government on Saturday said the curfew in certain areas of the six high-risk zones including Colombo will be lifted for brief periods daily from April 22.

The curfew in these areas will be lifted at 5 am and will be re-imposed at 8 pm daily, the President’s Office said in a statement.

However, the curfew will not be lifted in the following areas ;

Colombo District : Kotahena, Grandpass, Bambalapitiya, Keselwatte, Maradana, Gothatuwa, Mulleriyawa, Wellampitiya, Mount Lavinia, Dehiwala, and Kohuwala

Gampaha District : Ja Ela, Kochchikade, and Seeduwa

Puttalam District : Puttalam, Marawila and Wennapuwa

Kalutara District : Bandaragama, Payagala, Beruwala and Aluthgama
