Navy Says No Need To Panic About Sailor From Gaffoor Building Who Was Tested Positive For COVID19: 200 More Sailors Sent To Quarantine

The Navy said the public had no reason to panic about the sailor from the Gafoor building in Colombo who was tested positive for COVID19.

Issuing a statement, Navy spokesman Isuru Sooriyabandara said the building was occupied by the Navy and everyone in the building followed standards issued by the Health Ministry.

However, about 200 sailors who were at the building have now been quarantined.

Sooriyabandara said 351 sailors, who were diagnosed with COVID19, have now fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals,
