The Colombo Municipal Council will conduct a comprehensive dengue eradication programme on June 4, 5, 6 and 7.

PHIs, police and Garbage Management officers will inspect premises, sewage systems and have them cleaned.

The Municipal Council said legal action would be taken against identified dengue breeding spots.

Health authorities have alarmed the government of a possible surge in dengue cases due to the prevailing weather.
