Health Services Director General Dr. Anil Jasinge is expected to hld a discussions with PHI union which has launched a trade union action.

PHIs have withdrawn from all COVID19-related duties in protest of a statement made by Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi.

They claimed that PHIs have been disempowered when gazetting the health guidelines pertaining to the Parliamentary election.

The PHI union also held a meeting with Elections Commission Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya yesterday.
