PHIs call off trade union action

Public Health Inspectors have called off their trade union action following discussions with the Prime Minister.

The PHI union said they would resume work tomorrow at 7.30 AM.

This ended the 11-day trade union action launched by PHIs against the gazette notification related to the health guidelines for the Parliamentary election.

The PHI union said the future of their trade union action would be decided after the discussion with the Prime Minister.

They expressed optimism that the Prime Minister would offer a favourable solution to their demands. The union has claimed that the gazette notification related to the health guidelines for the election has disempowered them.
