Opposition Leader Intervenes To Protect Ailing Young Leopard Found At Yala

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said he contacted the Wildlife Director General, the Warden and the Deputy Warden at the Yala National Park to rescue a young leopard that had fallen sick.

"The leapord was discivered by a person named Saman, a wild life enthusiast, at Walas Wala in Yala this morning," Premadasa tweeted this morning.

"I salute the wild life authorities for their prompt action," the Opposition Leader added.

Premadasa is known to be a wildlife enthusiast and a regular visitor to Yala.
