Stones were pelted while Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa was addressing a meeting in Ratmalana last evening.

It was evident that the move was aimed at obstructing the Opposition Leader’s meeting which was organized with approval from the Police.

A tense situation took place at the meeting after stones were pelted but Premadasa immediately calmed his supporters.

“ I am not going because stones are pelted at me. I am not afraid of goons,” Premadasa told the crowd.

No one has so far been apprehended over the incident.
