Army Commander Lt. General Shavendra Silva said 220 more workers of the Minuwangoda apparel factory have been tested positive for Covid-19.

Health Officials said yesterday that they expected to conduct over 1400 PCR tests for the employees of the apparel factory where the COVID-19 patient worked.

The latest COVID19 in the Minuwangoda and Divulapitiya areas have led to a partial lockdown in some parts of the Gampaha district.

Authorities said they were strictly monitoring the situation.
