Sri Lanka Should Restart Dialogue With Tamil Party: BJP

BJP leaders Muralidhar Rao and Vijay Jolly on a visit to Sri Lanka for an international conference today met Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Temple Trees in Colombo, party sources said here.

 During the meeting which lasted for nearly 45 minutes, Muralidhar Rao stressed that “dialogue with Tamil National Alliance” should be restarted immediately.

 “It is vital for lasting peace in Sri Lanka. The settlement of the pending Tamil issues need to be resolved within the frame work,” a party statement said here.

The role and stance of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the concept of “Sabka Sath-Sabka Vikas” was repeatedly stressed by BJP leaders in their friendly advice to the Sri Lankan government. on the vexed Tamil question. (The Statesman)
