"My Ministers Cannot be Bought For Dollars:" President

President Mahinda Rajapaksa said that no one in his party cannot be bought for dollars or pounds.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa made this remark yesterday (30) while attending Minister of Investment Promotion Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena’s 25 years celebration into politics.He said his cabinet of ministers are truly loyal to him and no one would betray the government or the supporters of the ruling party

“Foreign forces want a puppet to take the Presidency”, President said. He also asserted that the people cannot be deceived by  deceitful claims anymore.

The President maintained that certain parties are aligning with the Tamil diaspora to bring him before the war tribunal and charge him for war crimes. He added that he would not give in to foreign powers and he would not be rattled by their ‘petty threats’.

The President has also said that no matter who competes in the Presidential Election against him on January 8, it will not be easy to defeat him.

Meanwhile Indian Security Advisory Ajith Dhiowal who will be arriving in Sri Lanka today, will hold special meetings with President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Common Candidate of the Opposition Maithripala Sirisena, regarding future security ties between Sri Lanka and India.
