'TNA Will Observe Hundred Day Program Closely' - Adaikkalanathan

Tamil National Alliance has stated that it will keep an eye on the new government’s 100 day program and discuss with the president on the needs of Tamil people separately.

TNA Parliamentarian Selvam Adaikkalanathan stated this at a press briefing in the TELO office in Vavuniya, BBC Sandeshaya reported.

Adaikkalanathan has added that the demands of the TNA will be similar to what it has asked from the former president. He also stressed that there is no hidden agreement between the TNA and president Maithripala Sirisena.

The TNA was requesting the government to provide necessary facilities to resettled people, permanent houses and land ownership, he added.

Meanwhile, Adaikkalanathan also said that the TNA is requesting relief on behalf of the people who died in the war and justice for those who disappeared.

Furthermore, he has said that the TNA will demand the due powers for the Northern Provincial Council and also request a Governor who was no military man. The TNA will also request a new Secretary for the Council, he added.
