Former UPFA MP T. B. Ekanayake told Asian Mirror that the six member SLFP committee appointed to bring about cooperation between President Maithripala Sirisena and former President Mahinda Rajapaksa will be meeting the president this afternoon.

 

Speaking to Asian Mirror, Ekanayake said that the party has not taken a final decision on giving nominations to Mahinda Rajapaksa.

 

Prolonged discussions between several SLFP stalwarts and the President ended last night without a conclusion.
