Maithripala Sirisena Gives 100 Days Challenge To Next Parliament

President Maithripala Sirisena made a challenge to all political parties, saying that the new parliament should pass the 20th Amendment in its first hundred days.

Speaking at the launch of the official website of SLFP student wing, Sirisena said that certain parties with communal interests made it difficult for the parliament to pass this amendment.

Meanwhile, Sirisena also pointed out that the SLFP will field candidates with clean records in the forthcoming general election. If not, the people will reject the SLFP, he added.
