Sri Lanka To Play Two Tests In Zimbabwe

September 30, 2016

Sri Lanka will travel to Zimbabwe later next month for a two-Test series, the Zimbabwe Cricket Board (ZCB) announced on Thursday (September 29). The first Test will be played from October 29 while the second will start from November 6. Both Tests will be played in Harare.

After the Test series, West Indies will join the two teams for a tri-series to be played in Harare and Bulawayo. The final will be played at Queen Sports Club in Bulawayo on November 27.

This series comes as a golden opportunity for the Zimbabwe players who hardly get to play Test cricket. In August, New Zealand travelled to Zimbabwe for a two-Test series prior to their South Africa tour. Though there was some resistance from the hosts, Kane Williamson and his side managed to win the series 2-0.
