NZ Chairman's XI At 26 For 3 In Reply To SL First Innings

The New Zealand Chairman’s XI was in some trouble at 3 for 26 in their reply to Sri Lanka’s 173 for 9 declared at stumps on Day 1 in the two day practice match played in Queenstown Events Center, New Zealand.

Lahiru Thirimanne top scored with 49 and Prasanna Jayawardena added 24 as Sri Lanka scored 173 for 9 in their innings. Kumar Sangakkara scored only 1 run. Right arm medium fast bowler Ben McCord took 3 wickets for 30.

In reply, the New Zealand Chairman’s team lost quick wickets and ended at 26 for 3 in just 8 overs. Suranga Lakmal took 1 wicket while Shaminda Eranga took 2.
