Rajapaksa Suffers From Amnesia, Claims Ajith P Perera

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ajith P. Perera stated that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa suffers from a serious case of amnesia which has made him forget a number of important facts.
 
Releasing a statement yesterday, Perera said that Rajapaksa has forgotten a number of things he did as President and even before. He continues to cling on to the communalist, racist and religious chauvinistic slogans to win votes, Perera added.
 
Perera claimed that Rajapaksa has forgotten his former friendship with the LTTE. He has forgotten that his involvement in the RADA tsunami housing scheme. Perera claimed that Rajapaksa helped the transfer of Rs 800 million of public money to the LTTE through RADA.
 
Perera also said that Rajapaksa is now claiming to be a guardian of democracy while forgetting that he introduced the 18th Amendment.
 
Rajapaksa has also forgotten the promise he gave to UN General Secretary Ban Ki-moon and to India to allow an international probe into the alleged war crimes, Perera added.
