Death Toll From Floods And Landslides Reaches 180; 110 missing; 109 injured; 588,082 Affected

The death toll from the floods and landslides to hit Sri Lanka has risen to 180, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said today.

It said the number of those missing was 110, and those injured 109.

588,082 people from 153,303 families have been affected by the floods and landslides that occurred at the onset of the Southwestern monsoon.

76, 902 people from 18, 845 families were moved to safer locations, the Disaster Management Centre said.
