Joint Opposition Sign No-Confidence Motion Against Rajitha: Allege Involvement In Several Corruption Cases

The Joint Opposition (JO) this morning signed a ‘no-confidence’ motion against Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Minister Dr. Rajitha Seneratne alleging his involvement in several cases of corruption.

Members of the JO including Hambantota district MP Namal Rajapaksa, National Freedom Front (NFF) leader Wimal Weerawansa and JO Spokesman Bandula Gunawardena signed the document in Parliament.

Anuradhapura district MP Shehan Semasinghe said the no-confidence motion would be submitted to the Speaker  ‘very soon’.

The JO last brought a no-confidence motion against former Foreign Affairs Minister Ravi Karunanayake, who subsequently resigned from office before investigations were initiated against him.
