“Marians Unplugged” concert series introduced by the Marians Band is something that reached new dimensions in the music industry of Sir Lanka.
Their latest creation, compiled specially for the fans of pop music in Sri Lanka is called “Marians – The Drift”.
Deviating from the Unplugged technique, they are bringing a new musical culture on to the stage, which includes a combination of Sinhala, Hindi and English songs. The special feature of this concert is that along with the musical aspect, new lighting technologies and background videos are being included for every song. By doing this, their aim is to enhance the audience’s experience and enjoyment both musically as well as visually.
The Society of Materials Science and Engineering Students of the Faculty of Engineering of University of Moratuwa has taken the initiative and has organized the first “Marians – The Drift” concert that will be open for the public to be held at the Maharagama Youth Centre.
The Asian Mirror website is contributing as the new media partner of the “Marians – The Drift” concert series.
